Rider Profile

Best ForSuits riders with at least some prior riding experience who want a confident, torquey cruiser without being overwhelmed by excessive weight or power delivery.
PurposeBuilt for stylish street cruising and weekend rides where relaxed power delivery and classic V-twin character matter more than outright performance.
Rider FitThe low 649mm seat height and manageable dry weight make it approachable for shorter or less physically strong riders, though the low-slung stance limits ground clearance for aggressive cornering.
CharacterA modern take on the classic American cruiser, blending punchy V-twin torque, retro styling, and contemporary handling for a fun, confidence-inspiring ride.
Not Ideal ForNot the right choice for riders seeking off-road capability, long-distance touring comfort with wind protection, or sharp sportbike-level cornering agility.

2016 Indian Scout Rider Ergonomics Assessment

Calculated in your browser only - your height/inseam are never sent to our servers.

Feet:

At 643mm, a rider of 175cm with a 79cm (estimated) inseam will reach the ground with both feet flat on the 2016 Indian Scout, with a cramped knee angle of around 70 degrees and an upright riding position.

Data quality: measured. Assumes about 30mm of suspension sag once seated (a typical street-bike rule of thumb - stiffer or softer suspension will vary). This is an approximation from category-typical geometry and generic body proportions, not a measurement of this specific bike or you - sit on it before you buy.
