Rider Profile

Best ForThis bike rewards riders with at least intermediate to advanced experience who can manage strong midrange torque and a sharp, aggressive throttle response.
PurposeBuilt primarily as a street-focused naked bike for hard cornering, quick city bursts, and weekend blasts rather than long-distance cruising.
Rider FitA moderately tall seat height and aggressive but upright naked-bike ergonomics suit riders of average-to-tall stature with reasonable strength for muscling it through fast direction changes.
CharacterAggressive, torquey, and muscular in character, with a growling triple-cylinder engine and razor-sharp handling that encourages confident, spirited riding.
Not Ideal ForNot well suited for absolute beginners, off-road use, or riders prioritizing plush comfort and long-haul touring capability.

At 800mm, a rider of 175cm with a 79cm (estimated) inseam will reach the ground with both feet flat on the 1999 Triumph Speed Triple, with a relaxed knee angle of around 120 degrees and a forward-leaning riding position.

Data quality: measured. Assumes about 30mm of suspension sag once seated (a typical street-bike rule of thumb - stiffer or softer suspension will vary). This is an approximation from category-typical geometry and generic body proportions, not a measurement of this specific bike or you - sit on it before you buy.
