About the Yamaha FZ6 S2 ABS

Powered by a liquid cooled 599.00cc 4 cylinder engine, producing 96.6bhp which is also stressed member of the frame based on the one found in the 2003 YZF-R6 but tuned for more mid-range power.

Compared to the outgoing Yamaha FZS600 the seat is slightly higher, power is slightly greater, weight reduced slightly and the frame is now Aluminium rather than Steel.

The FZ6 Fazer is the half faired version.

Timeline

2006: Optional ABS (adding 5kg).

2007: New FZ6 S2 version, distinguishable by a black frame, wheels and engine. This included updated fuel injection, monobloc calipers and updated swingarm. Also the Fazer version a revised screen and fairing.
