Performance Profile & Rider Fit
Best For
Rider Profile
| Best For | Best suited to riders with prior experience on large, heavy machines, since the Cross Country's bulk demands confident low-speed handling skills. |
| Purpose | Built as a big-twin American bagger for covering long interstate miles in comfort with ample luggage capacity. |
| Rider Fit | Riders benefit from decent height and upper body strength to manage the near 350kg curb weight at parking-lot speeds, though the low seat height helps confidence at stops. |
| Character | A relaxed, torque-rich cruiser-tourer with a commanding presence, deep exhaust note, and effortless highway pull rather than outright sportiness. |
| Not Ideal For | Not a good fit for riders seeking nimble cornering, off-road capability, or a lightweight bike for tight urban maneuvering. |

Risk: A melted rear brake line can reduce braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Polaris will notify owners, and dealers will re-route the brake line away from the exhaust catalyst, free of charge. The recall began on November 8, 2017. Owners may contact Polaris customer service at 1-877-737-7172. Polaris' number for this recall is V-17-02.
