Performance Profile & Rider Fit
Best For
Rider Profile
| Best For | Best suited to riders who already have experience with heavy, torque-driven cruisers and are comfortable managing a long, low, front-heavy machine at slow speeds. |
| Purpose | Built for laid-back boulevard cruising and style-focused riding rather than outright speed or precision handling. |
| Rider Fit | Its low seat height and forward-set controls suit taller or long-legged riders, while the weight and wide front end demand some upper-body strength at parking-lot speeds. |
| Character | A classic American V-twin custom with a stretched-out stance, deep exhaust rumble, and a strong emphasis on visual presence over sharp cornering ability. |
| Not Ideal For | Not a good fit for riders seeking nimble cornering, off-road capability, or high-speed sport performance. |

⚠ Safety Recalls (2)
ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THE THROTTLE CABLES COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE TUNNEL PORTION OF THE FUEL TANK.
Risk: IN THIS CONDITION, THE CABLES COULD EVENTUALLY WEAR THROUGH THE TANK, CAUSING A FUEL LEAK. FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE CABLE AND TANK, REPOSITION THE CABLE AND, IF NECESSARY, REPAIR OR REPLACE THE TANK AND/OR CABLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 31, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HARLEY-DAVIDSON AT 1-414-343-4056.
ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, A CONDITION OCCURS THAT COULD ALLOW PRESSURE TO BUILD UP IN THE FUEL TANK. ON FUEL INJECTED VEHICLES, THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE FUEL TO SPRAY OUT UNEXPECTEDLY WHEN THE FUEL CAP IS REMOVED. ON CARBURETED VEHICLES, EXCESSIVE FUEL COULD BE TRANSFERRED TO THE CARBURETOR, WHICH WOULD EVENTUALLY ALLOW FUEL TO DRIP FROM THE AIR CLEANER.
Risk: THESE SITUATIONS COULD CAUSE SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR CREATE A FIRE HAZARD FOR PERSONS OR PROPERTY ON OR NEAR THE MOTORCYCLE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL TEST EACH CANISTER FOR BLOCKAGE, THEN REPLACE AS NECESSARY. THE RECALL BEGAN NOVEMBER 4, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT HARLEY-DAVIDSON AT 1-414-343-4056.
