Performance Profile & Rider Fit
Best For
Rider Profile
| Best For | Best suited to riders who already have some experience with heavy motorcycles, as the low-end weight and long wheelbase reward a confident, deliberate riding style. |
| Purpose | Built for relaxed highway cruising and long-distance touring rather than outright speed or sporty handling. |
| Rider Fit | The low seat height makes it approachable for shorter riders, but the substantial dry weight demands solid low-speed balance and upper-body strength when maneuvering at a stop. |
| Character | A classic big-twin cruiser that delivers strong torque and a deep exhaust rumble, prioritizing laid-back comfort and traditional Harley-Davidson styling over performance. |
| Not Ideal For | Not the right choice for riders seeking nimble cornering, off-road capability, or a light, flickable machine for tight city traffic. |

⚠ Safety Recalls (1)
ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THE CLIPS THAT RETAIN THE WIRING FOR THE FRONT FENDER TIP LIGHT CAN BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FENDER, CAUSING THE WIRES TO FRAY AND SHORT.
Risk: THIS COULD CAUSE THE LIGHTING SYSTEM FUSE TO BLOW, LEAVING THE VEHICLE WITHOUT AN OPERATIONAL FRONT FENDER TIP LIGHT, HEADLIGHT, TAILLIGHT, RUNNING LIGHTS, AND PASSING LAMPS (IF EQUIPPED).
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FENDER TIP LIGHT WIRING HARNESS RETENTION CLIPS, AND INSPECT AND REPLACE, IF NECESSARY, ANY DAMAGED WIRING HARNESSES. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN JANUARY 9, 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT HARLEY-DAVIDSON AT 1-414-342-4680.
