Rider Profile

Best ForBest suited to riders who already have some experience handling heavy, low-slung motorcycles at low speeds.
PurposeBuilt for relaxed, torque-driven cruising and boulevard style rather than outright speed or agility.
Rider FitThe low seat height is welcoming, but the substantial dry weight demands confident strength and balance at parking-lot speeds.
CharacterA classic, air-cooled V-twin Softail that delivers deep torque and iconic Harley presence over cornering finesse.
Not Ideal ForNot the right choice for riders wanting sharp cornering ability, off-road capability, or high-speed performance.

Risk: THIS COULD LEAD TO AN OIL LEAK AND/OR POSSIBLE FIRE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH TO THE RIDER.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A BATTERY CADDY THAT WILL PROTECT THE CABLE AND ENSURE PROPER CABLE ROUTING. THIS RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 4, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HARLEY-DAVIDSON AT 1-414-342-4080.
