Rider Profile

Best ForThis is a heavy, torque-laden custom cruiser best suited to riders who already have experience handling big, low-slung V-twins at low speeds.
PurposeIt's built as a boulevard cruiser and style statement, with a springer front end and CVO custom flair rather than performance or utility as the priority.
Rider FitThe low 648mm seat height helps shorter riders reach the ground, but the near-330kg dry weight and long wheelbase demand strength and confidence at parking-lot speeds.
CharacterIts massive 240-section rear tire, chrome springer fork, and premium CVO paint give it a bold, unmistakable old-school hot-rod chopper presence.
Not Ideal ForThis is not the bike for riders wanting agile cornering, off-road capability, or a lightweight, nimble daily commuter.

Character map is an editorial estimate based on this bike's specifications, not a lab-tested measurement.

2009 Harley-Davidson FXSTSSE3 CVO Softail Springer Rider Ergonomics Assessment

Calculated in your browser only - your height/inseam are never sent to our servers.

Feet:

At 648mm, a rider of 175cm with a 79cm (estimated) inseam will reach the ground with both feet flat on the 2009 Harley-Davidson FXSTSSE3 CVO Softail Springer, with a cramped knee angle of around 70 degrees and an upright riding position.

Data quality: measured. Assumes about 30mm of suspension sag once seated (a typical street-bike rule of thumb - stiffer or softer suspension will vary). This is an approximation from category-typical geometry and generic body proportions, not a measurement of this specific bike or you - sit on it before you buy.
