Performance Profile & Rider Fit
Best For
Rider Profile
| Best For | Best suited to riders who already have experience with heavy, long, low-slung cruisers and understand how a springer front end changes low-speed handling. |
| Purpose | Built for laid-back boulevard cruising and show-stopping style rather than outright speed or distance-eating touring. |
| Rider Fit | The low 640mm seat height helps shorter riders reach the ground, but the substantial dry weight and long wheelbase demand solid upper body strength for slow-speed maneuvers and parking. |
| Character | A classic American cruiser statement piece with a nostalgic springer front suspension, wide rear tire, and deep V-twin rumble that prioritizes attitude and presence over performance. |
| Not Ideal For | Not for riders seeking sharp cornering ability, off-road capability, or a nimble machine for tight city traffic and quick direction changes. |

⚠ Safety Recalls (1)
ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, A CONDITION OCCURS THAT COULD ALLOW PRESSURE TO BUILD UP IN THE FUEL TANK. ON FUEL INJECTED VEHICLES, THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE FUEL TO SPRAY OUT UNEXPECTEDLY WHEN THE FUEL CAP IS REMOVED. ON CARBURETED VEHICLES, EXCESSIVE FUEL COULD BE TRANSFERRED TO THE CARBURETOR, WHICH WOULD EVENTUALLY ALLOW FUEL TO DRIP FROM THE AIR CLEANER.
Risk: THESE SITUATIONS COULD CAUSE SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR CREATE A FIRE HAZARD FOR PERSONS OR PROPERTY ON OR NEAR THE MOTORCYCLE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL TEST EACH CANISTER FOR BLOCKAGE, THEN REPLACE AS NECESSARY. THE RECALL BEGAN NOVEMBER 4, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT HARLEY-DAVIDSON AT 1-414-343-4056.
