Rider Profile

Best ForBest suited to experienced riders who are comfortable managing a very heavy, long-wheelbase machine at low speeds and in traffic.
PurposeBuilt for effortless long-distance highway touring with full weather protection, storage, and creature comforts rather than outright speed or sportiness.
Rider FitRiders benefit from decent height and upper-body strength to manage the substantial weight when maneuvering at parking-lot speeds, though the low seat height helps shorter riders reach the ground.
CharacterA classic American cruiser-tourer with big low-end torque, relaxed ergonomics, and a commanding, laid-back presence rather than aggressive performance.
Not Ideal ForNot a good fit for riders seeking sharp cornering agility, off-road capability, or a lightweight, flickable ride.

Character map is an editorial estimate based on this bike's specifications, not a lab-tested measurement.

Risk: These deposits may cause a valve within the ABS Hydraulic Control Unit to stick, reducing braking ability and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Harley-Davidson will notify owners, and dealers will flush the entire brake system with new Platinum Label DOT 4 brake fluid, free of charge. The recall began on February 14, 2018.
