Rider Profile

Best ForThis is a demanding sportbike best suited to experienced riders who are comfortable with aggressive ergonomics and a high-revving V-twin powerband.
PurposeBuilt primarily for spirited road riding and track days, prioritizing razor-sharp cornering ability over practicality.
Rider FitThe low, forward-leaning riding position and high footpegs put significant weight on the wrists and demand good core and wrist strength, especially at slow speeds or in traffic.
CharacterA raw, mechanical, and characterful sportbike with the distinctive desmodromic V-twin growl and trellis-frame agility that rewards precise, committed riding.
Not Ideal ForThis is not a good choice for new riders, long-distance touring, two-up comfort, or anyone seeking a relaxed, low-maintenance commuter.

2006 Ducati 749S Rider Ergonomics Assessment

Calculated in your browser only - your height/inseam are never sent to our servers.

Feet:

At 780mm, a rider of 175cm with a 79cm (estimated) inseam will reach the ground with both feet flat on the 2006 Ducati 749S, with a cramped knee angle of around 70 degrees and a forward-leaning riding position.

Data quality: measured. Assumes about 30mm of suspension sag once seated (a typical street-bike rule of thumb - stiffer or softer suspension will vary). This is an approximation from category-typical geometry and generic body proportions, not a measurement of this specific bike or you - sit on it before you buy.
