About the Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally

Powered by a liquid cooled 1,197.00cc V-Twin engine, producing 123.4bhp.

Building on the 2013 Caponord, with a larger 19" front wheel, dual 33 litre Aluminium coated panniers, electronically adjustable suspension, some engine tweaks, LED fog lights and a engine guard/belly pan resulting in a more off road focused bike.

The electronic suspension can be set to automatically adapt to bike weight/pillion, along with dynamically reading the road/riding style and adjust accordingly.

Sport mode gives you the most aggressive throttle response with Touring mode toning it down a bit for everyday riding and Rain mode limits power down to 100bhp. You can change the height of the silencer to look a bit more sporty when the panniers are removed.

Optional extras include a Arrow Titanium and Carbon silencer, 52 litre top box, comfort seat, low seat, off-road pegs, bigger side stand base, LED indicators,  a centre stand and heated grips.

2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally Rider Ergonomics Assessment

Calculated in your browser only - your height/inseam are never sent to our servers.

Feet:

At 840mm, a rider of 175cm with a 79cm (estimated) inseam will reach the ground with balls of both feet on the 2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally, with a cramped knee angle of around 75 degrees and a forward-leaning riding position.

Data quality: measured. Assumes about 30mm of suspension sag once seated (a typical street-bike rule of thumb - stiffer or softer suspension will vary). This is an approximation from category-typical geometry and generic body proportions, not a measurement of this specific bike or you - sit on it before you buy.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:MASTER CYLINDER Sep 2016 · 16V691000

Piaggio Group Americas, Inc. (Piaggio) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Aprilia Tuono V4 1000, 2016 Tuono V4 1100, 2015 Caponord 1200 ABS/ADD, and 2016 Caponord Rally motorcycles manufactured June 18, 2013, to June 13, 2016. The affected motorcycles have a front brake master cylinder that may allow air into the hydraulic circuit, causing a longer than expected braking distance.

Risk: If an abnormal distance is required to stop the motorcycle, there is an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy: Aprilia will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front brake master cylinder pushrod and boot assembly, free of charge. The recall began October 04, 2016. Owners may contact Aprilia customer service at 1-866-705-1727.

Risk: A rear wheel lock up increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Piaggio will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the output shaft, replacing any that are found to be defective, free of charge. The recall began on January 28, 2015. Owners may contact Piaggio customer service at 1-212-380-4433.
